For them to all flock back to the fold so fast, without even missing a beat, is impressive - and a turnout like this one felt downright special. New York’s finest, Blonde Redhead, have shifted a lot over the years, going from Sonic Youth-inspired noise-rockers to psych/shoegaze deities to would-be synth-popsters, and though they’ve had some down times (and downtime), the level of love and adoration they still command is frankly inspiring. The real charm comes through still pictures that tell the tale of a mother cat feeding her kitten through the snack boxes. It starts off very simply but can become very convoluted and requires a bit of brain power to work out.
