MANY of the other sprites not shown are a WIP, and chances are, when I get a hold of mania's sprite, you can bet that I'll use them to assist in designing these even more. But for the most part, this is what's been done so far. Other people who contributed to these were T0ms0nic, who originally made the Sonic 1 Generations sprites some of these shown are based on, and Sketch for modifying them, with the standing sprite being based on Sketch's edited version. The running frame was found from an old screenshot of the game and was used as well. Thanks to Dolphman for helping recreate the idle standing sprite as reference. The sprites were originally going to use an expanded sonic 1 color palette, which has then switched to XG's, and now, is using sort of a combination of some aspects of the original design, part of Time Twisted, (Which GF gave a fancy new palette) and for the majority, the Sonic palette used in Retro Sonic Nexus, or Sonic Nex-G's Sonic sprite. These sprites were made with help from GF the Player and Dolphman. Sonic Fates is a fan game I've been working on, which is currently using the Not So Simple Sonic Worlds engine. So all you get from using HxD is that you spend more time on something that you could do a lot quicker if you did it directly and in place.Behold, the first public look at Sonic Fates Sonic sprites. When you modify the rom from within Emulicious you already have the modified rom loaded so that actually allows you to test it directly in the emulator. Yes I know, but I prefer to use HxD because it already saves in *.sms and I can test directly in the emulator without having to apply the ips. You can also hex edit the ROM in Emulicious and then save the IPS.
